Lil Wayne Reacts To George Floyd’s Murder – Don’t Blame All Police “My Life Was Saved By A White Cop”
Lil Wayne just publicly spoke out about the inhumane murder of George Floyd at the hands of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin—but wayne’s comments may come as a shock to you. Lil Wayne urged black people not to place blame police brutality on all police officers, specifically white cops because he claims one saved his life in the past.
Bossip reports, during a recent episode of Lil Wayne’s Beats 1 show, “Young Money Radio,” he gave his opinion on his stance on police brutality following the recent riots and protesting currently occurring across the country as a response to the inhumane murder of George Floyd. As many Lil Wayne fans may already know, when wayne was 12-years-old he shot himself and he says his life was saved by Deputy Robert Hoobler, a white police officer—and that incident is the reason for his stance on the police.
Lil Wayne had this to say about not blaming all police officers for incidents of police brutality: “My life was saved when I was young. … Shot myself. My life was saved by a white cop. Uncle Bob. So from, therefore, you have to understand the way I view police, period. … There was a bunch of black cops that jumped over me by that door with that hole in my chest. He refused to. We have to stop placing the blame on the whole force and the whole everybody or a certain race or everybody with a badge.”
