Pedophile Pleads Guilty To Child Porn But No Prison Time, Son Of Pennsylvania Judge

Pedophile pleads guilty to child porn but no prison time, son of pennsylvania judge.

John Paul Doerr III was sentenced to five years probation, six months house arrest and 15 years on the Megan’s Law Registry.

John Paul Doerr III is the son of a Pennsylvania county judge and he pleaded guilty to child pornography, but he did not receive any prison time.

John Paul Doerr III, aged-34, was sentenced to 5 years probation, 6 months house arrest and 15 years after pleading guilty to 35 counts of child pornography. The charges could have landed him a maximum sentence of more than 250 years in prison but he is serving no prison time.

Butler County’s president judge Thomas Doerr is the father of John Paul Doerr III. Many people protested his sentencing outside the Butler County Courthouse, saying that they believe that the father-son relationship had a lot to do with the lighter sentence.

A Protester, Madison Morgan, said:

“It’s not fair. He could have gotten 252 years behind bars, but instead he got probation and house arrest,” “It’s because of who his father is.”

The pedophile was initially arrested after confessing that he downloaded multiple videos, including one with a child as young as 1 to 2 years old. He was tracked down by Investigators using the IP address assigned to his personal computer.

Butler County officials told Channel 11 there was no wrongdoing in the case. The district attorney also said he immediately handed Doerr’s case over to the attorney general’s office and that no local judge heard the case.

An outside judge and prosecutor were brought in by authorities. That prosecutor said this is a standard sentence that typical happens for these types of cases.
