Rapper Pop Smoke’s Murderers Charged With Death Penalty

Rapper Pop Smoke’s murderers charged with death penalty.

The two men and two teens who allegedly killed rapper Pop Smoke have been slammed with murder charges, and while the death penalty is a possibility, the prosecutors haven’t decided to seek it yet.

The L.A. County 19-year-old announced criminal charges against 19-year-old Corey Walker and 18-year-old Keandre Rodgers, they were each charged with murder with special circumstance allegations that the killing went down during the robbery and burglary of Pop Smoke.

The death penalty is on the table, with the special circumstances. The L.A. County District Attorney’s Office indicated that gang and gun allegations were made in their complaint as well.

Apart from 19-year-old Corey Walker and 18-year-old Keandre Rodgers, a separate pair of teenagers — the youngest aged-15 and the oldest aged-17 — were also charged with one count of murder and robbery in juvenile court. Their names weren’t released, as they’re still minors.

TMZ were the first that broke the story back in February… Pop Smoke was shot and killed back in February by 4 masked gunmen after what appeared to be a home invasion robbery at his home Hollywood Hills home.

Even though the District Attorney’s Office indicates that they haven’t decided on whether to pursue capital punishment yet, both adult men still face life in prison if convicted.
