Rapper 2 Chainz sued by Pablo Escobar’s family company for $10M over restaurant name.

2 Chainz may have a very serious legal issue right now on his hands. This could require him to pay millions. According to reports circulating, rapper 2 Chainz is being sued by Pablo Escobar’s family for using the Escobar name for two of his Atlanta restaurants. The Escobar family wants $10 million.

TMZ reports that Pablo Escobar’s family company, Escobar Inc., has officially filed a lawsuit against 2 Chainz for an estimated $10 million. Escobar’s are alleging that 2 Chainz’s Atlanta Escobar Restaurant and Tapas locations violate federal law due to its unauthorized commercial use of the Escobar name and likeness.

In the presented legal documents available, the company is angry that 2 Chainz put their family name not only across both of the restaurants—but also on the Escobar Restaurant and Tapas website, social media accounts and clothing sold with the Escobar brand name. The company says it owns all the trademark to the Escobar likeness and 2 Chainz is using the name to get clout, sales and profit. Also, they also indicated that 2 Chainz has the real Escobar’s image painted inside one of his restaurants and named an item on the menu. WOW!!! This is really looking bad for 2 Chainz.
